Water & Wastewater

Other applications that need seal and leak detection, voltage monitoring, three phase monitoring, and other water and wastewater controls. Because submersible pumps are used in of this application, onboard devices for detecting seal failure are required. While we tend to think of water scarcity and contaminated water supplies as third-world issues, water is used, collected, cleaned, and returned to its source before being reused. This is the only sustainable strategy to ensure that water is and is accessible whenever we need it. This emphasizes the necessity and significance of handling and utilizing water. By identifying the issue and its location as soon as possible, Uninterruptible Power Supplies are widely used in wastewater facilities to safeguard crucial process systems from power outages.  Only an industrial-grade wide-temperature UPS, on the other hand, is specially built with rugged internal components to work consistently in harsh settings.  Wastewater machinery is located both indoors and outdoors, where it is subjected to a variety of climatic obstacles such as temperature extremes, humidity, and wetness. Only an industrial wide-temperature UPS can provide the necessary power security in these harsh environmental circumstances.

Products and Solutions

UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY (UPS SYSTEMS)

Power ranges from 0.7 KVA up to 10 KVA (single phased output

Due to their online double converter technology these UPS systems meet the requirements of the highest protection class VFI-SS-111. During start-up a diagnostic test system is activated verifying the status of the UPS system and the battery. The power related fan control system protects the system against overheating and ensures a long battery life.

ONLINE UPS SYSTEM

UPS systems supply the connected consumer loads constantly with a given frequency. Thus, the input frequency can vary between 45 and 65 Hz. The systems of the series are equipped with a five-language LCD with vast display options for voltage, frequency, battery status and capacity utilization of the UPS system.

FOUR OPERATION MODES SELECTABLE

The five-language display is equipped with vast display possibilities for voltage, frequency, battery status and capacity utilization. The supplied configuration software allows the adaptation to individual operating parameters. Thus e.g., the output voltage can be chosen between 200 V and 240 V, or the automatic restart can be deactivated. Via the control and display panel the user can choose amongst four different operating modes: online mode, green mode, free-spin mode, and generator mode.

19-INCH-DESIGN

UPS systems have a height of only 44,45 mm (1 HU) with a performance of 1 kVA. This type of system is only available with a standard bridging period of four minutes. The bridging periods of the types can be enhanced by additional battery insertions.

WELL PROVEN TECHNOLOGY

All PMS – UPS systems are compiled on the bases of the same tried-and-tested technology of the series. This reliable technology combined with the compact de-sign of 19-inch are typical for the systems of the series. UPS systems of these series meet by their online double converter technology the highest requirements of the VFI-SS-111. They are equipped with a power dependent fan control and a power factor control.

Power ranges 10KVA, 15KVA, 20KVA

UPS systems are available as single-phase or three-phase systems with an output power of 10 kVA, 15 kVA or 20 kVA. The UPS systems of this type can be operated with double converter / continuous transducers technology in online mode (according to VFI-SS-111) or in standby mode to achieve the highest efficiency possible. For redundant operation (half-load parallel operation, n+1 operation) or for performance increase a parallel connection of up to six systems is feasible.

PUMP CONTROL

In drain mode (pump down), the output relay picks up and the LED turns on when liquid reaches the high level probe. The relay drops out and the LED turns off when liquid falls below the low level probe. In fill mode (pump up), the output relay picks up and the LED turns on when liquid falls below the low level probe. The relay drops out and the LED turns off when liquid reaches the high level probe.

  • Liquid Level Pump Controller A conductive liquid level controller that uses two probes to sense tank level. There are two modes of operation that are user selectable: Drain (Pump Down) and Fill (Pump Up). Drain (Pump Down): The output relay will pick-up, and the LED will turn on when the liquid level reaches the high-level probe. When the liquid level falls below the low-level probe the relay will drop-out, and the LED will turn off. Fill (Pump Up): The output relay will pick-up, and the LED will turn on when the liquid level falls below the low-level probe. When the liquid level reaches the high-level probe the relay will drop-out and the LED will turn off. We Diversified also offers the CPR Series Conductive Probes. The probes have a stainless-steel tip, PVC cable, and are corrosion resistant. The CPR Series probes are needed for the LPC unit unless you have a probe already; they must be ordered separately, as they do not come with the unit automatically.
  • Submersible Pump Monitor Dual Function Alarm Relay The Diversified Submersible Pump Monitor is a specialized control for monitoring the shaft seal and stator temperature of a submersible pump motor. Seal leakage is detected by either a resistive float switch or a pair of conductive probes installed in the seal cavity. Over-temperature is detected by a normally-closed-low temperature switch mounted on the stator. The over-temperature function incorporates a bistable relay that retains its position during power failures. For (S) models over-temperature reset can be configured by changing the reset switch.

SEAL AND LEAK DETECATION

We designed to operate from a 120 VAC supply voltage, detects leaks by either resistive float switch or a pair of conductive probes installed in the seal cavity, while over-temperature is detected by a normally-closed low-temperature switch that is mounted on the stator, with LED’s that indicate green for “normal” and red for “leak” and “over temperature” condition values.

  • Dual Channel Seal Failure Alarm The Dual Seal Failure module is a specialized control for monitoring the shaft seals of two submersible pump motors. Leaks are detected by sensing the conductivity of the contaminating fluid through probes installed in the seal cavity. When a seal begins to leak, the seal failure module energizes one of its SPST output relays indicating that the seal needs to be replaced before the motor is damaged. The sensitivity of the probe in-puts is field adjustable. When the resistance between one of the probe inputs and the common connection drops below the sensitivity setting, the corresponding output relay and LED are activated.
  • Single Channel Seal Failure Alarm The Single Channel Seal Failure module is a specialized control for monitoring the shaft seal of a submersible pump motor. A leak is detected by sensing the position of a resistive float switch installed in the seal cavity. When the resistance drops below the sensitivity rating, the output relay energizes and the LED illuminates.

Temperature Switch Relay

The non-volatile Latching Temperature Switch relay monitors a normally-closed-low temperature switch. It incorporates a bistable relay that retains its state during power failures. LEDs indicate the status of the relay, and connections for an external reset button are provided for manual control. The reset inputs of multiple units may be connected to a single push button if proper polarity is observed when making the connections. Under normal conditions the temperature switch is closed, and the relay is de-energized. When the temperature switch opens, the relay energizes and latches on until the temperature switch re-closes and the reset button is pressed. The unit will function properly with zero to 2k Ω of resistance in series with the temperature switch.
